Is there a cut-off time to update my flavors for my deliveries?
Remember to update your flavors selection by midnight of the Saturday before your delivery day (if you are in Orange County the cutoff time is Thursday at noon) . Cut-off times are posted on our delivery calendar. When your credit card is been charged by the renewal process a delivery order is automatically generated. Any change following the carge will be applied to the following billing & delivery cycle.
How do I change my flavors selection for next delivery?
You can change your flavors selection any time by logging to your account. Changing your flavors is simple and straightforward. To make it even easier, we created a short YouTube video to show you how to do it.
Please note: Remember to update your flavors selection bfefore the cutoff time (a few days before your delivery). Cut-off times for all subscription plans are posted on our delivery calendar. Once your credit card has been charged and the delivery order automatically generated, any change ytou make will be saved for your following billing & delivery cycle.
How do I cancel my subscription to GIO Club?
Canceling your subscription is very easy: send us a membership cancelation request using our Membership Cancelation Form.
We will cancel your subscription ASAP. Usually it takes less than 24 hours to cancel a subscription. We do not charge cancelation fees. After you canceled your subscription you are welcome back anytime you feel like you need a great Italian gelato!
How do I change my subscription plan?
Changing your subscription, e.g. from Pints to Mezzo boxes or from a 4 weeks cycle to a 2 weeks cycle, is very easy: send us a membership change request using our Membership Change Form.
We will update your subscription ASAP. Usually it takes less than 24 hours to update a subscription. Please do it at least one week before the renewal date.
Why some flavors are not available to GIO Club members?
Wondering why you can't find your favorite gelato flavor at our stores or in teh delivery options for GIO Club members? While big commercial gelato and ice-cream brands have an assortment of long-lasting flavors always available regardless of the season, at GIO Gelati we prepare fresh batches of gelato every week. We always start from fresh ingredients. The ice-cream you buy at your local supermarket might have been sitting on the shelfs for a few months. At the opposite, the gelato you get from GIO Gelati in never older than a few days. This makes our gelato tastier and healthier.
Is GIO gelato different from ice-cream or other gelato?
Our authentic Italian gelato is different from any other gelato or ice-cream. We make gelato exclusively at our artisanal production lab in San Francisco on Union Street. We never use preservatives, and we pride ourselves in making no compromises on quality by preparing and serving only fresh, just made gelato. For example, if one week we do not find perfectly ripe nectarines at the market, we simply halt the production of nectarine gelato.
Because of our artisanal production, we can only produce a limited set of flavors every week. We committed to offering 15+ different flavors to our GIO Club members. Most of the flavors are always available, like stracciatella, while others are seasonal flavors available only for a limited time. Sesonal flavors are explicitely marked in the online menu as "seasonal".
In our stores in San Francisco and San Ramon, we can afford to be slightly more flexible with the flavors. Our gelato chef like to add or remove flavors on a daily base to explore new flavors and to check people reaction. The planning required by our subscription program doesn't allow the same freedom.
Can I pause my subscription and skip one or more deliveries?
You can certainly pause your subscription as long as you like. Our online system has some limitation, but we always try to accomodate our members requests. If you are not able to pasue your subscription online jus send us an email at email@example.com and we will do it for you.
Is my Credit Card safe in your hands?
We do not store your credit card number directly. For all your online payments we use STRIPE one of the most popular and safe services for credit card payments. We do not have visibility on your credit card number.
